The WLUGSA has planned a number of graduate student orientation events on Wednesday September 3rd. We encourage you to engage in your new community.


WLUGSA Meet and Greet

Newly renovated, the Grad Pub is the exclusive home of graduate students at Laurier’s waterloo campus. Sample items from our fresh menu, grab a drink and relax.

When: 3:00pm – 3:45pm
Where: The Grad Pub


WLUGSA in the Park

Join us at Waterloo Park for the afternoon. One of the gems of the city of Waterloo, the park is a great location for every graduate student at WLU to be familiar with. Enjoy the acoustic music playing while you explore the waterfront. Frisbees, freezies and fun for those who enjoy the physical play the park offers.

When: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Where: meet at the Grad Pub at 3:45pm and we will walk over together


WLUGSA Cocktails and Conversation

Dr. Max Blouw, President of WLU, provides the keynote address at our official Orientation function. Hear his vision for your graduate community. Meet with current graduate students in your faculty – advice and smiles are free. And so is the food.

When: 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Where: WLU Senate and Board Chamber

7:45pm Welcome and Introductions from the WLUGSA
8:00pm Keynote Address
