Research Conference

In June 2008, the Laurel Centre will be offering the inaugural Research Conference on Social Entrepreneurship. Hosted at the University of Waterloo, the conference will bring together academics and practitioners to discuss both research-oriented aspects of a broad range of social entrepreneurial activities, as well as the practical applications of that work.

The Research Conference will span two and a half days of oral and poster presentations, panel discussions, keynote addresses and social events for a diverse range of people interested in social entrepreneurship.

Social entrepreneurship is a multi-disciplinary field, and as such the conference will touch on research in the fields listed below. To submit an abstract for the Research Conference, please follow our submission guidelines page.
# entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship
# leadership and leadership development
# social change, including evaluation of social change and social impact
# sustainable environmental change, including environmental design and technology
# international development
# resilience, complexity and systems theory (relevant to social change)
# organizational behaviour (relevant to social change)
